Chocolate Brownies

Brownies come in a variety of forms and may be either fudgy or cakey, depending on their density. Brownies often, but not always, have a glossy "skin" on their upper crust.

Equipment

  • 1 - Mixing bowls
  • 1 Whisk or electric mixer
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Oven
  • 1 Baking pan (20x20 cm or 8x8 inch) -
  • 1 Saucepan (for melting chocolate)

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 100 g four
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F)

    Melt the dark chocolate and butter over a double boiler or in the microwave. Let it cool slightly

      In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla extract until fluffy

        Stir in the melted chocolate and butter mixture

          Sift in the flour and salt, then gently fold into the batter

            Pour the mixture into a baking tin lined with parchment paper

              Bake for 20–25 minutes. The center should still be a little soft

                Let it cool completely before cutting into squares
