- 2 turkey legs about 1 kg total
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 onions finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
- 1 tomato chopped
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 250 ml water or broth
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and cook until golden.
- Stir in the minced garlic and paprika, then quickly add a little water to prevent burning.
- Add the turkey legs and brown them on all sides.
- Add the chopped tomato and bell pepper.
- Season with salt and pepper, pour in the water or broth.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for about 1.5–2 hours, until the meat is tender and sauce is thick.
- Serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
